Experience how the digital media sector works and collaborate with a team on creative, immersive projects.
In this course, students gain firsthand experience with digital media technology, software and applications used in the arts and entertainment technologies (AET) industry. No prior experience with programming or design is required.
Students learn how to use multi-disciplinary digital tools to create their own projects in the realms of graphic design, sound design, video gaming, mobile apps, podcasting and more. This course prepares students to pursue Career and Technical Education pathways, industry-based certifications, or specialized college programs.
Course Structure
Through Project-Based Learning, this course provides exposure to assorted entertainment and artistic experiences; the underlying technology; and the cultural, philosophical, ethical and practical aspects of entertainment technology.
